Torchy’s Tacos opens a new location in Memorial City
Austin-based Torchy’s Tacos opened its newest Houston-area location this week.
Torchy’s at 1035 Gessner in Memorial City clocks in a 4,500 square feet and includes a full bar and outdoor patio seating, according to a Wednesday release.
Expect Torchy’s regular menu of fare, available for dine-in, takeout or delivery. Their menu features green chile queso, street corn and signature tacos such as the Green Chile Pork and Baja Shrimp, as well as the Trailer Park with fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de gallo and cheddar jack cheese.

You can also get a rotating taco of the month and hand-shaken margaritas.
The Memorial location marks the chain’s 18th Houston-area locale.
“The Houston community has embraced Torchy’s since we opened our first restaurant in the city in 2011,” CEO of Torchy’s Tacos G.J. Hart said in the release. “Outside of our hometown of Austin, we have the most restaurants in Houston for a reason: we love its foodie culture and we love its residents.”

Torchy’s Memorial City is opening with safety measures in place, including frequent cleaning and sanitation, team member wellness checks, face masks and social distancing.
The location is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
